Har du nogle kunstneriske forbilleder? I så fald, hvem? Og har det påvirket din tegnestil?
Uuh, der er mange! Hmm, nogle af mine store forbilleder er Ashley Wood, Gotfried Helnwein, Cam De Leon og selvfølgelig min mester fra tegneskolen her i Viborg som har betydet min absolut største fremgang Artem Alexeev, men også folk som Jean-Michel Basquiat og Jackson Pollock .... ser jeg utroligt meget op til! Jeg har 100´vis af forbilleder, men dette må regnes for nogle af de største! De har påvirket mig rigtig meget!
Også musikalsk har jeg mange forbilleder, de afspejles så til gengæld sjældent i mine billeder, men er folk alligevel intereserede er der nogle links i min profil til lidt af hvert. ...

Internationally known Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein will have his first one-man museum exhibition in the United States, opening at the Legion of Honor in the summer of 2004. The exhibition, Gottfried Helnwein: The Child features a major theme that has appeared in his work over the last 35 years. For Helnwein, the child is the symbol of innocence, but also innocence betrayed. In today’s world, the malevolent forces of war, poverty, sexual exploitation, and the numbing predatory influence of modern media assault the virtue of children. Helnwein, who grew up in Austria in the somber atmosphere of a defeated country in the years following World War II, has an emotional tie to children who have been robbed of experiencing childhood without trauma. ...

Imagination is a necessity, and I don't think it's sort of bad. I can dream up some image like I did with Helnwein, and they're "bad," they're forbidden, but I can take an image that's far worse, that's on CNN and it's reality. So we can't get censored. It's the real world.
But that's a bad message to send to kids growing up, I think.

* Helnwein's Epiphany I has been up on our site for years now. For a while I used it as wallpaper on my desktop. Perhaps that explains how the first hypertext poem came to be one about the Virgin. But as I struggled with updating the site, I checked all my old resources and came across materials that explain Helnwein's commitments and meanings far better than I could alone. ...

虽然TB因为受日本文化的影响，画面中有浓厚的日本插画和漫画的影响。但在主题上，这两位画家却有异曲同工的效果。同样描写伤口、孩童和坏掉的娃娃，helnwein的画贯穿始终的是“恶意、冷静、反思”，而Trevor Brown则是“SEX、BLOOD、虚无的破坏冲动”。TB作品中性的意味要远远高于Helnwein。Helnwein画中的孩子始终是一个思考的主体。他们并不是被动的展示伤口，只是站在那里，冷冷的笑，好象想观察你的承受能力似的盯着你。而Trevor Brown笔下的所有人物，他们的作用就是作为我们——赏画者——的性对象、杀戮对象、伤害的对象。他们的一切伤口、一切的撩人的恐怖而美丽的扭曲身体，都是以勾起人类内心最为强大恐怖的欲望和麻木身体的蠢动为最大目的。没有头脑，而只有美丽或恐怖而吸引人的身体是错误吗？而在这个已经极度欲化的世界我们有什么理由拒绝这些呢？所有的商品包括艺术品都在以挑动人类本能的性冲动为目的。哪怕它是在表达一种最为极端的欲望。在情色和色情之间，艺术品和性唤起品之间，谁能够真正的把握住这个尺度。也许真理就是没有真理。从来都不存在一条绝对的分界线。 ...

Еще несколько любимых мной фотографий. Эти три были сделаны человеком по имени Gottfried Helnwein (www.helnwein.com). Фотграф часто снимал детей, причем как раз так, как мне это нравится. А еще он сотрудничал с Мерлином Мэнсоном. Такие дела. Фото сверху входит в серию "Modern sleep". Восхитительная спящая девочка, хочу себе такую же. Эту фотографию гигантских размеров можно было наблюдать в составе инсталляции на Los Angeles ARTshow 2003, Santa Monica. На фотографии справа под текстом - инсталляция Ninth November Night 1988. Дети дети дети, множество фотографий, каждая размером 370 на 250 сантиметров. Красиво. ...
